Companies are the core units of Girls' Brigade. They are generally a single unit that meets together weekly. The leader of each company is the Captain who is appointed by the local church to which the Brigade is affiliated.
 
Companies are divided up by age groups into units to foster all important relationships between peers and leaders and enables aged appropriate activities and discussions.  These groups couples with the weekly activities, camps and outings assist in developing social and life skills, a personal faith and helps the girls create long lasting friendships.

Cadets - First year of schooling to Year 2
Juniors - Year 3 to Year 6
Seniors - Year 7 to Year 8
Pioneers - Year 9 to 18 years
Young Leaders - 18+
